With the further development of the educational reform and the courses, thinking in terms of history has become a major subject in which we share interest in the field of history teaching . Historical thinking is a way of thinking guided by Marxist philosophy, including theoretical thinking. It is both world outlook and methodlogy. The ability of historical thinking is the combination of general thinking activities and those specially related to the subject of history. The ability of historical thinking is also a theoretical views developed from the views about the historical facts, which is a process to reveal the quality and laws of history. The key of training the students' ability in history teaching is the training of historical training ability. Training the historical thinking of the students in middle school history teaching is of great practical significance, which is the requirement of "Getting Prepared for the Future ", the core of quality training, and also the key which concerns the success or failure of the entrance examination to universities. This article combines the research and analysis of the present situation, discusses the strategy and the tactics for training the students' historical thinking in terms of teaching concept, teaching method , teaching model and modern educational teachnology.The discussion mainly focus on the disadvantages of historical teaching. I claim that advanced teaching theory should be introduced to guide the teaching , based on the teaching method theoretically constructed. Three teaching methods are introduced.Beginning with preparation and teaching, the textbooks should be studied deeply and teaching methods should be applied in a reasonable way. Train the students' fine thinking quality to create historical thinking situations.Use a scientific process to train the students' historical thinking ability comprehensively in order to realize the comprehensive combination of the basic middle school subjects teaching. Encourage students to study by themselves and allow the students to fully function as the main body to improve the historical thinking ability.
