Since October of 2000, we started the investigation, and we divided the pupils into a test class and a common class, whom came from 1st to 4th grades of the Dandong Primary School, in Zhongshan Distof Daliaa We constituted a scheme of how to foster the pupil's self-study ability under the condition of test teaching, then we carried it out in the test class, but we did nothing to the common class. At the same time, we made a questionnaire, which is mainly about the self-evaluation of the pupils' self-study abilities. We believe mat this questionnaire is with better standards of reliability and efficiency, and it can be used as a tool to measure the standards of the pupil's self-study abilities. In Oct, 2000, we carried out a former test in the test class and the common class by this questionnaire. Two years later, mat is, in Oct, 2002, we carried out mis self-evaluation test of the pupil's self-study abilities in the test class and the common class again. The result clearly shows that, in me test class, the statistics of later test is much higher man mat of former test, and the difference of standards is remarkable. White, in the common class, the situation only existed in several factors of present 3rd and 4th grades, and the difference of statistics from the later test and the former test is very indistinct in 5th and 6th grades. This proves mat, it is very effective to foster the pupil's self-study abilities under the condition of mini-class teaching.
