As we know, the 21st is a creative century. All the countries in the world are paying more attention to persons of creative ability than ever. Pu.cy , president of Harvard believed that whether a person has creative ability is the watershed between the first—class and third—class persons of ability. In the pattern of traditional education, we've developed too many persons of ability, who have a great deal of knowledge. However , they are not the creative persons that our society needs today. The key for developing creative persons of creative thought. It is well—known that much attention has been paid to this in today's new teaching system, which runs in China now, I put forward a new pattern that is about creative geography teaching in middle school. The thesis can be divided into e parts:The first part is theoretical base of creative geography teaching. On the one hand, it introduces the meaning ,principles advantages of creative geography teaching. On the other hand, it produces principle of education and psychology, and it also expounds the ability of creative geography thought that can be developed by education.The second part expounds the skills of asking a question and choice of language when creative geography teaching is carried out. It also gives words and living examples which can stimulate students to think in creative thought.The third part is main body of this thesis. Combined with some living teaching in middle school, five practical patterns, which are about creative geography teaching in middle schools, came into being. The following are the five patterns: discovery method; heuristic method; solution to a method; guide and investigation method; and activity teaching. Every teaching pattern contains living examples of teaching that can show how to develop ability of creative teaching in middle schools.The fourth part puts forward difficulties that may have in carrying out and the ways that they deal with it. To make sure that creative teaching theories can go smoothly, for one thing, we need teachers of creative ability; for another thing, we need teachers can set up conditions atmosphere in which students can develop their creative thought, and stimulate students to develop desire for creative. In this way we can realize the purpose of developing students' creative thought by geography teachingThis thesis introduces the theory of education and theory of education and psychology into the practice of geography teaching. It also puts forwards the pattern of creative teaching about geography in middle schools, which can be easily operated. The situation that students have to study in is being changed. Thus, we can develop students' ability of creative thought . As we know, developing persons of creative thinking ability is based on it . I hope it will be helpful to the teacher who are teaching in the new teaching pattern, and also be helpful to other teachers.
