China's High-level Swimming Coaches Coach The Establishment And Status Quo Of The Capability System

To promote the improvement and the sustainable development of China swimming, by the methods of the Literature, Questionnaire, Interview and Statistics, this thesis analyses the concept, structure and factors of Coaching Ability for Chinese competitive swimming coaches and investigates the condition in this field. The results show that:1. The system of the coaching ability of Chinese competitive coaches includes three levels and 51 factors which are divided into 7 factors for the second level and 43 for the third. 2. The final evaluation of the coaching ability of Chinese competitive coaches is 'good'. The management and training ability, respectively speaking, are evaluated 'Excellent'; teaching ability, self-consummated ability, innovation ability and intercourse ability are valued 'good'. The last one is scientific research ability which is evaluated 'general'. The enterprise is the most important reason for the success of our competitive swimming coaches. 3. In average, Chinese competitive coaches work more than 19 years and this is highly related to the year of holding the title of the advanced coach. The relation between coaching year and the scientific research ability is negatively related connection. 4. There is an obvious difference in the advanced competitive swimming coach's different gender. Women's teaching ability is much higher than men's and the difference sill be more obvious as the title's change. 5. There is another obvious difference in the advanced competitive swimming coach's different titles. In innovation ability and intercourse ability, the advanced competitive swimming coaches are much better than those coaches in national level.6. The characteristics of Chinese swimming coaches tends to dependent on the experiences instead of theories. More than half of the coaches solve the problems appeared on the training according to the experience. A quarter of the coaches make the matters by contacting to the researchers.7. 40% of coaches hope to continue studying in the form of the training-class. Others want to study by reading and asking for the researchers. We suggest that the system of the coaching ability of Chinese competitive coaches can be the reference of the training coach's courses and the standard of evaluating the work performance of the swimming coaches. Otherwise, the advanced swimming coaches should cooperate with the researchers more frequently so that they could improve their research ability soon. In opposite those researchers should get the trust from the advanced swimming coaches by taking more valuable research.
