This article, by carrying on an investigation mainly in the measures to run a school of Francis Lister Hawks Pott, the president of the ST John university (1879-1952), explores the origin, fluctuation, orientation, implement and revelation of this pattern during the latter-day church universities' development.This article falls into four chapters. The first, second and third chapters along with the means of history combined with discussion, expatiate his conception and particular measures to run a school, in order to acquire cognitions systematicaly and dynamicly. In 1905, he accomplished the stage object by enrolling the ST John college to America university.The second chapter distinguishes the mealures when the ST John university was developing fleetly.
