Nowadays teachers professional development has become a major tendency of international teaching occupational development. The newly performed curriculum reform for elementary education has put forward a new challenge to the teachers professional development, which requires that the trainings for teachers should follow the steps of curriculum reform so that the teachers could keep abreast of the new curriculum and eventually realize the teachers professional development.This dissertation analyzes the current situation of history teachers, search the reasons for the disparities by taking the situation of history teachers in Chang Chun Kuan Cheng District as reference, and furthermore proposes a professional development strategy for history teachers.The dissertation composes three parts:1. Raise the concept of teachers professional development. State the connotation of teachers professional development and the significance of raising the concept.2. Analyze the current situation of the history teachers and the existent problems, of which there is a detailed analysis of the current situation of history teachers and the causes of the situation.3. Essential part of the dissertation: state the principle, contents and strategy of teachers professional development. Propose detailed strategy as follows:1) Make an overall planning, establish and improve a system which is good for history teachers professional development.2) Motivate the target, form logical professional development stages for history teachers.3) Stimulate the teachers' enthusiasm by activities in order to establish a suitable professional development atmosphere for the history teachers.4) Make an influence by subjects so as to realize the four strategies, such as make the history teachers perform the professional development independently.The purpose of this dissertation is to innovate the teachers professional development strategy, and I sincerely hope I can provide a useful reference for history teachers and the experts in educational field.
