Taking Land Tenure System reforms as the macro-historical background and carrying out the theoretical perspective of Sociological and Social Psychological theories, this research describes the peasants' attitudes towards Land Tenure System under the current Land Tenure System in rural China by using a research method combined by qualitative and quantitative measures. Furthermore, on the basis of the comparison of different attitudes of peasants in developed and developing economic areas, this research has also provided reasons for these existing differences.Through descriptive research the paper has drawn the following conclusion: First, peasants take a neutral attitudes toward the current Land Tenure System of ownership in rural China as a whole, and most of them disfavor the "rural land contract lasting for 30 years " policy, and this does not varies in different developing level economic areas. Second, peasants in the areas of different economic development level take different attitudes toward the Land Tenure System of usage (Household contract management system). Almost all the peasants favor the "small adjustment along with a stability as a whole" policy. But peasants in different areas take the different attitudes toward specific regulations. The peasants in developing economic region approve the policy, but the peasants in developed economic region partly approve the policy, and some of them don't care.By explanative research this paper points out that the differences of peasants' attitudes toward current Land Tenure System are determined by demographics- statistics, socials environment, natural resources and family economic factors. (1) Among social environment factors, the heritage of social structure vicissitude is a key factor, and it is also the main force that drives the peasants in different development level areas reach a same attitude towards ownership system of rural land. (2) Peasants in different economic development areas maintain different attitudes toward the land use system. The reasons include: degree of occupational diversification, per-capita cultivate field size, non-agriculture family income, and tax level of household. Furthermore, the heritage of social structure vicissitude, in other words, peasants' conceptions of the community member right, also affect peasants' attitudes along with the above three factors. It is the economic development level that determines the differences of peasants' attitudes. It puts fundamental influences on demographics, families, nature, and social environment, which in turn results in the differences of peasants' attitude towards Land Tenure System. When to reform Land Tenure System, the attitudes of peasants must be taken into account. Only by doing this can we make policies that are in the interests of peasants.
