Chinese Higher Education Management System Innovation Research

In the long run and in the final analysis, international competition is the competition among talents. Comrade Jiang Zemin said," Competition among talents is a great challenge we are facing." On one hand, China is a country with the largest population in the world, it is also one of the richest labor resources countries on the other. It's a global tendency to fully exploit human resources and generally improve the educational level of people. It is also an inevitable choice to build China into a relatively well-off country.Because of competition among talents in the knowledge economy era, economic globalization and the present situation of human resources of China, it is very important to improve exploitation of human resources. Especially the development of China's higher education will play a decisive part in making full use of China's human resources and in cultivating a great number of highly qualified labors, technical workers and talents with creative ideas. This is the key to change the burden of the population into the advantages of human resources.Since 1978, the policy of opening to the outside world, the higher education in our country has developed greatly and our higher education has cultivated a great number of qualified personnel for the society, indeed, our higher education has played an important role in modern socialist construction. However, as compared with the developed countries, whether the developing speed or the developing scale is still low, the present situation in our higher education hasn't met the need of the society, we still have a lot of work to do. So, many scholars at home and abroad have done a lot of research work about the existing problems of our higher education and have got lots of research achievements. The author of this thesis tries to begin with the problem of human resources in China and do a further research on the problem of the management system in our higher education/The thesis is divided in to four parts:Chapter I Analyzing and elaborating on the importance of cultivating human resources and the important role of higher education in human resources cultivation.Chapter II Reviewing the development of China's higher education and its great effect on economic construction in the past century, especially in the past two decades. Analyzing the present situation of China's higher education and challenges it faces.Chapter III Analyzing the over-300-year history of American higher education and probing into a perfect educational system of cultivating talents and the advanced principles of building world firs-class universities.Chapter IV Trying to learn something from comparing the development of China's higher education with that of America's. Elaborating on how to build an innovative system of China's higher education, including concept of running schools, educational system and innovation of teaching methods etc.
