The purpose of this thesis is to study how to improve middle school teachers' faculties to apply information technology to daily teaching by means of the investigation on current situations of IT(Information Technology) application of teachers and the analysis of its existing problems. The results of the study will benefit the IT training for teachers, and will also improve the teahers' IT assisted teaching and their ability of acquiring, analyzing and processing different kinds of information.This thesis analyzed the cause for why teachers' IT applying faculties lag behind the development of IT education. It points out that the essential cause for that is due to lack of attention of educational administration departments and schools. In view of the existing problems and using the advanced experience of foreign countries for reference, the thesis puts forward the suggestions and measures to enhance preservice and inservice training.In order to improve the application faculties of teachers.,This thesis suggested several measures. There should be a curriculum change in teacher education. The educational administration departments should plan scientifically and rationally. The schools should afford necessary conditions for teachers' self-learning and creative working so as to build learning organizations. The teachers should update their ideas and improve the information literacy of their own by taking part in training and self-learning.
