Quality Certification Standards For Online Education Courses, Research And Design

With the rapid development of E-learning in China, building a national quality supervisal system of E-learning becomes more and more important. Via investigating many typical CAI courseware evaluation standards, E-learning quality assurance standards and virtual learning environments standards and using the method of ISO9000 Qualification Certificate, this dissertation designs a standard of E-learning Course Qualification Certification and a practice plan based on the theory of Distance Education, Learning theory, Instructional Design and Educational Evaluation. This standard also offers a referenced example to build China E-learning quality assurance system and carry out E-leaming standardization in future.There are seven chapters. The emphasis is from chapter 3 to chapter 6. Chapter 3 particularly discusses the design of E-learning courseware certification standard. It uses international general there-layers model of software quality measure and measures E-learning courseware quality via instruction design benchmark, instruction content benchmark, usability benchmark, technique benchmark, information present benchmark and documents benchmark. Every benchmark divides into many sub-benchmarks. These benchmarks add up to 20 Must options, 17 Optional options and 5 Encourage options. Different option has different point and the full mark is 100 point. Any E-learning courseware must at least get 60 point and meet all Must options in order to pass qualification certification.Chapter 4 and chapter 5 design the standards about the other main factors affecting E-learning educational activities. They contain E-learning teaching, learning, learning support system, learning validity, teacher training and virtual learning environment.Chapter 6 puts forward a plan about how to implement E-learning Course Qualification Certification and show us some real case in China.In the end of this dissertation, some focus questions about E-learning Course Qualification Certification standard have been discussed and the development of future E-learning also expected.
