School Moral Education In Hong Kong And Mainland Comparison

The comparative study in moral education between Hong Kong and mainland schools is a realistic and debatable subject. In this article, the comparative study is conducted in four following major aspects by subject comparison. 1. Although it is proposed that the moral education objectives which are different in nature and same in sources~ in Hong Kong and mainland, the emphasis in nurturing of healthy personality and improvement in the quality of the students in the aim of moral education in Hong Kong schools in worth learning. 2. It is revealed that heritage, foundation, multi? dimension and synthesizing reflected in moral education at Hong Kong schools is inspiring for the mainland schools to enrich and broaden the contents of moral education through comparison between the distinct moral education at both Hong Kong and mainland. 3. Training and construction of school environment at Hong Kong schools is worth learning for the mainland schools to establish an& improve education approach through comparison between moral education approach which works along both lines at both Hong Kong and mainland. 4. It is discussed that the active learning of western modern moral education method and emphasis in infiltration and variety of moral education at Hong Kong schools has provide an important enlightenment to reform in moral education at mainland schools through comparison between totally different moral education methods at both Hong Kong and mainland. The aim of comparison between goal, contents, channel and method of moral education at schools in both Hong Kong and mainland is to reveal inspiration brought by moral education at Hong Kong schools to mainland moral education workers in order to promote reform and development of moral education in mainland schools at present situation.
