In recent years, with the large number of young rural population into the cities, agriculture is confronted with the successors of the situation, the new professional farmer received more and more attention. Under such a social background, this paper from the secondary vocational school of its own hardware and software conditions, demonstrates the secondary vocational school in cultivating new professional farmers work the advantages and significance that secondary vocational schools to cultivate new professional farmer has its necessity and possibility, This measure can solve the problems in the current cultivation of new professional farmers.This article uses the questionnaire method and the interview method to investigate some areas of Shandong province and Jiangsu Province, to understand the current situation of the secondary vocational schools to cultivate new professional farmers.Through the investigation and analysis, it is found that the farmers have the cultivation of demand, more likely to accept the secondary vocational education.But there are several problems existing in the cultivation,such as the overall quality of the farmers is not high;farmers’ scientific and technological means and management awareness is weak;in the cultivation of farmers accounted for than less and concentrated, lack of mobility;cultivate department confusion, lack of core leadership;cultivation content, time arrangement is not reasonable; cultivating external environment needs to be improved.Aiming at the above problems, this paper around the advantages of secondary vocational school characteristics, from the ideas, ways of working, external environment three aspects proposed solutions.First of all, to change the concept of parties, the formation of a good atmosphere for nurturing.These include changing the concept of the people, raising farmers’ participation in the cultivation of consciousness; change the concept of secondary vocational education, in order to cultivate new professional farmers as the characteristic oriented; change the concept of government, clear the main status of secondary vocational schools.secondly, to innovate the working mode, to build a practical training system for peasants.Including education object implementation "three steps" to ensure successors; cultivation mode will be focused on teaching and autonomous learning flexible collocation; content based on technology, cultural,supplemented by the; teaching organization will short courses and long-term planning combined;quality in teachers with attention to absorb agricultural experts and technical experts and teachers;In fostering the assessment, pay attention to the rational use of skills competition and other means.finally, to improve the supporting facilities, to create a good external environment.Including the stable investment and reasonable use of funds; improve the construction of rural infrastructure; increase investment in agricultural machinery; promote orderly transfer of land.At the end of the paper, taking Shouguang City as a case, specifically elaborated the Shouguang City secondary vocational schools to cultivate new professional farmers the initiatives and achievements.
