To all the students, good learning habits are the foundation of effective learning, as well as the useful wealth for their future study. However, in reality, the students in our country still have undesirable learning habits in different degrees. These habits affect students’ study interest, reduce the learning effect and hinder the students’ integrated development.The researches on learning habits gain fresh as the times change. For primary school students, cultivating learning habits is as important as improving academic performance. In this thesis, “learning habits” is defined as the tendencies and behaviors about learning and with personalization features formed by individuals in long-term learning activities. And those tendencies and behaviors which can weaken the effect of learning activity or hinder the comprehensive growth of students are called undesirable learning habits.This thesis focus on the middle grade students in primary school, mainly investigate the undesirable learning habits of this group, then summarize the causes of those habits and try to make out some specific, operational correction strategies. The thesis also aims to promote the future researches on the same topic, and finally makes the purpose of our country’s young students growing healthily, roundly come true. It is the same as our country’s education goals; quality-oriented education.This thesis takes the students in grade three and grade four from Shanghai Qibao Mingqiang Primary School and Jing ’an Primary School as the research sample, and firstly find out the undesirable learning habits of primary school students in middle grade recently according to questionnaire surveys. At the same time, I interview 8 teachers at different subjects and seniorities. From the surveys we can see that almost every student has undesirable learning habits, for example bad listening habits, lack of learning initiative and learning self cognitive deviation, etc. From investigation and study, I summarize the causes of undesirable learning of primary school students in middle grade for five aspects: the environment, Individual factors, the relationship between teachers and students, teachers’ teaching activities, and family factors.Due to the particularity of learning activities in the compulsory education stage, this thesis provides correct strategies at the version of teachers. There are six strategies: teachers setting up education concept of developing students’ good learning habits, using reasonable and various teaching organization strategies, timely and clear evaluations, "classmates relationship" as the link between classroom management strategies, parent-school cooperation in different ways for the propose of correct undesirable learning habits and the individual guidance strategies aimed at "corrected".The main content of the paper included four parts. Firstly: foreword, it discusses the background of this research and the reason for choosing it, the meaning of the problems, the core concept, the present conditions of the research and the design of this thesis. The second part provides the results of questionnaire surveys and attribution analysis. The third part provides the specific strategies about how to correct the undesirable learning habits of primary school students in middle grade in six aspects. The forth part is the conclusion, suggestions and insufficient. The last part is the reference and acknowledgement.
