“Designated Article” is a type of selection summed up by professor Wang Rongsheng. While, it is rare to hear “Designated Article” in primary school, just as professor Wang expected: “currently, it is unrealistic for classics to enter primary textbook in a large number”. However, there are truly some “Designated Articles”with good quality and beautiful words in primary textbook. Moreover, many famous teachers are practicing Chinese education that aims at improving students’ cultural literacy. The author believes that the cultivation of cultural literacy has special value for primary students and it can’t be achieved by one day. It will be benefit for primary students to study at a higher level, if we can make the best of “Designated Articles” in primary Chinese textbook and cultivate students’ perception and identity of Chinese classic culture.We teach children knowledge through “Designated Article”. What’s more, we should make them perceive the true, the good and the beautiful in the long river of history, taste the happiness and sadness in different ages through learning some Chinese classics so that to deepen the cultural identity of Chinese nation. Therefore,the teaching on such selection makes a higher request to teachers. They should not only know what is “Designated Article”, but also reflect its instrumental and humanities value in the content and teaching design of “designated article”.For these reasons, based on the clarification of “Designated Article’s” nature and its teaching design, this paper boldly deduced the “Designated Articles” in primary Chinese textbook of Shanghai Education Publishing House Edition. Then, the author investigated the current teaching status of “Designated Article” through making questionnaire and interviewing with the front line teachers. Besides, based on concrete text and famous teachers’ teaching cases, this paper discussed designated articles’ text interpretation, selection and creation of teaching content in primary Chinese classroom teaching. In the end, it summarized famous teachers’ teaching strategies trying to provide “Designated Article” with a feasible design idea in primary efficient classroom teaching.
