| Textbooks are a kind of teaching materials through which teachers teach and students learn. It is also the main approach for student to learn. Images are the unique category of Chinese classical literature, and are also one of the most important aesthetic objects of literary works. There is a rich array of images in literary works at all times and in all over the world, including "landscape", which is one of the most frequent images. Chinese textbooks in secondary school are no exception.Aesthetic education is implemented in order to fit in with the aims of education and education policy for the purpose of achieving quality education. Together with moral, intellectual, and physical education, they constitute the basic education goals of fostering all-round developed talents in China. Exploring aesthetic values of the Landscape imagery in middle school Chinese textbook contributes to the humanities of Chinese language courses, which conforms to new curriculum reform of basic education. What’s more important, it can improve students’aesthetic interest, cultivate students’ personality character and strengthen students’understanding of life, therefore help students form the perfect personality and a healthy development. Chinese course in middle schools should place more emphasis on the humanities as well as scientificity, in order to provide students with more spiritual nourishment, and promote students’inner growth. Based on the analysis on the cultural connotation of "landscape image" and the "landscape image" in Chinese language textbooks for middle school, this paper analyzed and discussed the aesthetic characteristics and educational value of the "landscape image". The paper is divided into four parts:First of all, the origins of landscape imagery and the review of landscape imagery were presented. Landscape image is an important concept in Chinese literature. Its meaning and connotation become more and more rich with the changing times and the development of literature. The analysis of the origin and development of landscape images contribute to a more in-depth and comprehensive understanding of landscape images. Meanwhile, through the analysis of landscape imagery research survey, it was found that studies of landscape imagery in Chinese textbooks for middle schools are almost at a blank stage.Secondly, this paper presented the statistics of the landscape images in Chinese textbooks for middle schools. Through the study on the original meaning of landscape image and the comparison between Chinese and Western landscape images, some tables were made to presents the results based on the analysis of the texts with landscape imagery in Chinese textbooks for middle schools, including classical, contemporary and foreign literature.Furthermore, through the statistics, it was discovered that landscape images in Chinese textbooks for middle schools are divided into static and dynamic landscape in the content; On the aesthetic connotations, the landscape image was characterized by mood and emotion. Among them, the artistic beauty for quiet border, sad lonely land, vast majestic land, limitless eternity; Emotion was characterized by feelings of homesickness, bleeding love, indifferent feelings about leisure, magnificent heroic devotion.Finally, this paper explored the value of aesthetic education of landscape images. On the basis of systematic discussion on aesthetic education in middle school Chinese language course, the unique aesthetic value of landscape images was obtained. That are: mountains, sweeping its truth, scenic delight mingzhi, taking personality of landscape beautification and landscape carry forward humanity. |
