| Objective:I want to understand the screen time of adolescents, physical exercise, mental and physical health in Nanjing. Analyzing the relationship between screen time and physical and mental health, and providing guidance for family and school education.Methods:I took a questionnaire from October to December in 2014 in this study. I handed off 975 copies of questionnaires and took back 953 copies of questionnaires from three junior high school students selected from Nanjing City. At last, I analyzed the relationship between the screen times of adolescents and physical and mental health Using SPSS 19.0.Results:I found the average screen time of 3.07 hours per day have a little longer, the weekday screen time is 2.09 hours per day and the weekend screen time is 5.53 hours per day. The average screen time of boys is longer than that of girls and the average screen time of higher grade students is longer than that of lower grade students. The basic activities is watching TV, playing games and communicating. Parents’ education and family income is related to the average screen time. The average time of physical exercising of boys, lower grade students, high income families have a little longer. The mental health of high grade students and girls are better than that lpwer grade students and boys. Parents’ education and family income also has a certain relationship with the psychological health. The correlation analysis showed that a shorter screen time have a better mental health status.Conclusions:Using screen equipment is an important activity in teenagers’ daily life. We should pay attention to the psychological guidance and control the screen time in school and family, and creating a healthy environment for all teenagers. |
