In 1998, the 21st century international education committee has proposed "education is a main mean to human equality and promotion of more harmonious and reliable human development". School education, as the main current of the institutionalized education, plays a huge role and its impact is obvious. The school education takes great responsibility in the aspect of promoting the harmonious development of human equality. Now we add the gender consciousness education into the school education, conforming to the essence of education and it is aimed at promoting social progress and human development. Kindergarten education as the preschool education, the teaching materials as preschool education teaching material, is important to the cultivation of children’s gender consciousness. So the author thinks that doing sex consciousness research of the teaching material of kindergarten has practical and long-term significance.Based on the perspective of education, communication studies, feminist and social theory of gender studies, conducted on the field research in the kindergarten which has done early,,also with class research and after-class interview, using literature analysis, content analysis, interviews, case studies and classroom observation to study kindergarten’s gender awareness’s spread. Focused on "communication" and "reach" questioned:Whether kindergarten teaching material itself has gender inequality? Does the use of kindergarten teaching materials contains gender awareness guide? How are teachers and children audience’s gender awareness? The study turns to be a dynamic propagation to facilitate with the micro and macro-level perspectives. Through literature analysis, classroom observation and interviews after school, studies show that kindergarten plays an important role in influencing the formation of gender consciousness aspect, but because of the lack of unconscious gender awareness and gender stereotypes, and teachers in the process of gender-sensitive teaching also lacking of gender awareness, stoping children from forming correct gender awareness. Accordingly, based on the critique of gender studies and social theory of communication media, the author analyzes the causes of related issues and puts forward some suggestions and countermeasures. First, through opening gender awareness training courses in colleges and teachers College, arranging in-service teacher education teachers regularly around relevant contents to improve teacher’s gender awareness; secondly kindergartens should be noted that the importance of creating gender-friendly hardware environment and human environment, the teachers in the classroom also need to use teaching gender awareness as one of the teaching guides; parents should strive to create gender equality family environment, the duty of raising children should be shared by mothers and fathers, gender bias and stereotypes consciousness should also be avoided when provide reading instruction for young children.After all, conveying the improvement of the teaching material gender consciousness is a long-term process which needs various aspects of the society to cooperate, including teachers, students, parents, scholar and efforts of all parties concerned. China’s social gender consciousness education started late, but develops quite fast, now is still in the booming trend. The development in teaching practice is conducive to human progress, the development of social harmony and equality, which is also the goal of every one.
