As the development of the Times and the progress of the society, the teachers are faced with more and more challenges. Teachers are not only responsible for teaching, they should also be good at research with new ideas. Therefore, as the teaching and research activities which will solve the practical issues faced by the teachers and schools, the school-based teaching and research has been widely recognized. Since the school-based teaching and research was implemented in various schools, it has played an important role in promoting teachers’professional development and improving the teaching quality.Under the direct influence of the adjustment of rural and urban areas’layout, the rural central schools have acted as the main role of rural education, and even in some small towns, the rural central schools have become the only existent education unit of the area. The rural central primary schools have gathered high-quality education resources of countryside, on behalf of the hope of rural education. The development of the rural central schools is conducive to developing urban and rural education and promoting education fairness between rural and urban areas. In the current academic researches on school-based teaching and research, it is less for the present situation researches of the rural central primary schools’school-based teaching and research. The rural central primary schools’school-based teaching and research has a significance in the national education strategy and the expectations of parents or society. This paper focused on the following problems:the present situations of the rural central primary schools’ school-based teaching and research, the problems about the implementation,and so on.To study the above problems, this research was based on the actual situation of implementation of the school-based teaching and research in the three rural central primary schools and apply the methods of literature research, questionnaire and interviews to investigate the teacher professional development intention, the implementation of the school-based teaching and research process, evaluation and research of the school-based teaching and research system construction. Besides, This paper emphatically analyzed the situation of Y primary school’s school-based teaching and research, which objectively reflected the reality of the rural central primary school school-based teaching and research and dug out the problems existing in the practice of the rural central primary school’s school-based teaching and research.To improve the rural center primary school education teaching quality, promote rural teacher professional development and the education fairness between the urban and rural areas.
