China is now in the key period of promoting reform and opening up in-depth and continuously, and the whole society experiences profound changes, which have a great influence on school teaching as well as ideological and political classes for high school. The high school is an important period during which young students change and cultivates their minds. High school ideological and political courses are important part of training qualified talents in our country and one of the main ways of the construction of socialist spiritual civilization, and the ideological and political teaching in high school is the main way of ideological and political education of the students. Therefore, the important tasks for the whole society and the vast number of educator are to carry out actively the work of ideological and political teaching course for high school students, to find out the existing problems and their solutions of ideological and political class for high school teaching, making it truly achieve the purpose of educating people to adapt to the development of the times, and promotes the development of ideological and political classes in high school teaching in the complicated social background. This paper concludes and summarizes the existing problems of ideological and political class in high school teaching detailedly through empirical analysis and questionnaire investigation, and puts forward solutions to these problems, among which include the main following ones: attaching more importance to intellectual education than moral education on the guiding for high school ideological and political classes; the qualities of some teachers’ incompetent to political lessons’ teaching requirements; unscientific evaluation mechanism for teaching effectiveness in ideological and political courses; a tendency of the simple content and rigid form of ideological and political lessons. Main countermeasures in solving the problems are to strengthen the guidance of “both morality and intelligence, and morality comes first”, optimize and improve teachers’ qualities, enrich the content and form of ideological and political courses, and explore the appropriate assessment mechanism for the teaching effectiveness in the ideological and political courses.The structure of the full text is as follows:The introduction part briefly summarizes the research background and research significance of high school ideological and political education, the innovations and shortcomings.The first part introduces the position and role of ideological and political classes in high school.The second part, according to a questionnaire survey about the present situation of ideological and political classes in high school, analyzes and concludes the current existing problems of high school’s ideological and political lessons.The Third part puts forward the corresponding countermeasures to the problems existing in the ideological and political class for high school.The conclusion part summarizes the full text, puts forward the proposition that ideological and political classes for high school teaching should be adapted to the development of the times, and the problems must be solved as soon as possible, so as to enhance the effectiveness of teaching and educating people of high school’s ideological and political classes.
