Application of "story" in history teaching in senior high school is controversial, and it is also the issue worth exploring in history teaching in senior high school. This paper will discuss three major problems of the theme----"what the application of ’story’ in high school history teaching is", "why we choose to explore the application of "story" in high school history teaching" and "how we can carry out the application of ’story’ in high school history teaching".The first chapter will explain what the application of "story" in history teaching in senior middle school is. It is to intersperse the high school history teaching process with historical facts, the image of the historical stories properly according to the needs of the teaching goal in order to increase the historical details and enhance students’ understanding of historical events. The process also includes teaching methods like collecting historical records, the reappearance of historical process, the analysis and evaluation of historical events and the summarizing and drawing on the experience of historical laws. Therefore, it is not the whole story teaching, and is not a low level of teaching or not only perceptual teaching.The second chapter will demonstrate the status and role of the application of " story" in history teaching in senior high school. The application of "story" is a kind of necessary teaching method in history teaching in senior high school. This is determined by the nature and features of historical disciplines, and in line with the development of high school students’ psychological cognition and learning ability and the need to confront the situation of the class of high school history. At the same time we introduce the uses of "story" in high school history teaching. This teaching method can make the students more interested in history learning and activate the atmosphere of the class of high school history. This teaching method can also form the students’ability of "understanding of historical facts and summarizing of information". This teaching method can also compensate the weaknesses of history textbooks of high school and enhance the understanding of the knowledge in the history textbooks. This teaching method can also help the teachers of history to change their concepts and ideas of teaching and make the reforming of new courses forward.The third chapter is about" the specific strategies and methods used in the story "in history teaching in senior high school, put forward the three basic principles of the "historical stories" in high school history teaching, the four collection methods of "historical stories", and four principles of selecting "historical stories" and four kinds of presentation of "historical stories".
