With the development of the new curriculum reform,how to effectively change the concept of teaching and cultivate students’ ability to learn history has become a common concern of many front-line history teachers and a focus of history teaching and learning.History stories not only play a role in presenting historical information vividly,but also play a vital role in guiding students’ thinking and exploration of historical knowledge.High school history requires more knowledge and comprehension from students.Applying history stories to teaching can help students to understand knowledge,solve difficult learning points,and deepen their understanding of the material.The first part of this paper consists of four subsections,namely,the reason for choosing the topic,the current status of the study,the research method,and the definition of the concept.The topic of this paper meets the needs of high school students’ history learning,the current situation of history teaching,and the requirements of the history discipline itself,and responds to the needs of the history curriculum reform.The theoretical basis is explained on the basis of previous research results.It also defines the relevant concepts.The second part starts from the importance of history stories in history teaching.The first part analyzes the importance of history stories applied to teaching from textbooks and college entrance examinations,and the second part elaborates the significance of history stories for history teaching in terms of cultivating students.The third part is a questionnaire survey for students and an interview for teachers to investigate the current situation of history stories in the history classroom.The results of the questionnaires and the interviews are analyzed to determine the problems that exist.The fourth part discusses how to apply history stories efficiently in high school history classrooms from three aspects: selection strategies,application nodes and presentation methods of history stories,respectively.The fifth part discusses the application of history stories in high school history classroom through specific cases.The thesis focuses on how to apply history stories in high school history teaching,and puts forward corresponding suggestions for the problems that exist in the teaching status quo,which has certain significance for improving the status quo of high school history teaching.
