By questionnaire survey and interview, The thesis reveals the problem that the teaching of Chinese in junior school doesn’t attach enough importance to reading teaching and analyses the reason of this problem. In order to solve this problem, we can consult theoretical books about classic reading teaching of Chinese in junior school, search the introduction of classic teaching material and reading methods, view and emulate successful teaching lessons, and summarize the experience of reading teaching in the theory and practice. We can arrange the points of effective reading teaching in the Chinese educational circles such as the points of Tao xingzhi, Guoqijia, Wang caigui and carry out concordance and comparison. With the successful teaching cases, we can pursue the methods of reading teaching.The thesis starts with the theory origin of classical reading teaching. Combined with the reality of reading teaching,we can analyse many problems in reading teaching such as poor teaching effects and summarize the theory origin, the reality, the fundamental features and the fundamental methods for Chinese teachers to offer constructive suggestions. The thesis includes four parts as follows.The first part tells us about the meaning and significance of classical reading teaching. Firstly, the meaning is that the students speak out the classical texts loudly. Secondly, the classical reading teaching helps students cultivate good habits, develops cognitive structures, edifies tempers and optimizes the soul and character of students. The second part tells us about the theory origin and the reality of classical reading teaching. The third part tells us about the characters of Chinese classical reading teaching. The classical reading teaching has the characters of experience, purification and construction. The fourth part tells us the basic approaches of Chinese classical reading teaching, including situational methods, beautiful pronunciation, game methods, dialogical methods.Finally, reading is the key of classical teaching, prominents the main body status of students and is a useful methods to develop the ability of students.
