Interest is an inner driving power for students’learning, which can stimulate students’ thirst for knowledge and is very important in the whole English learning process and is the key to successful English learning. Once students have the interest to learn English, they may have a strong will to learn English well and take an active part in their English study and get twice the result with half the effort. At the same time, The New English Curriculum standard also requires teachers in teaching should pay attention to cultivate the students’ interest in learning and keep students’ positive learning attitude.High school is the critical to cultivate students’ interest in English learing, however, because of the influence of the exam-oriented education, the countryside junior middle school English teaching still adopts the traditional teaching methods, students accept knowledge and skills mechanically and passively. It is difficult to develop student’s principal part status and improve the comprehensive ability of using language. The whole English class is one of dullness and depression.On the basis of theoretical research,the thesis used the method of questionnaire survey and combines with teaching practice to study the strategy of cultivating the students’ interest of countryside junior middle school in English studying. This research based on second language acquisition theories and constructivist learning theory and the present students’ interest situation of the countryside junior middle school in English studying. The author selected works of Shang gang middle school,HongheqiaoFunan town, Fuyang city,Anhui province as the research object and carry out the questionnaire survey. Combining with the survey results, the thesis analyze the present situation in English study in rural middle school, existing problems and the factors of influencing the countryside junior middle school students’ English learning interest.According to this, the thesis advances the the strategies of countryside junior middle school students’ English study interest.This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is introduction, including the research background, research purpose, the significance of research. The second chapter definied the concept of interest, review the related research of interest at home and abroad, and elaborates the theoretical basis of interest in training. The third chapter introdced the questionnaire investigation and analyzed the results of the questionnaire. The fourth chapter on the basis of the results of the questionnaire survey analysis pointed out the reasons of influencing the countryside junior middle school students’ English learning interest. The fifth chapter puts forward strategies to improve the countryside junior middle school students’ English learning interest. The last chapter summarized the research.
