A Study On The Growth Of Female Doctoral Candidates

As China’s higher education developing and gender equality becoming more and more important, more and more women become doctors. After years of developing, the situation in China’s female doctor education has changed a lot. The number of female doctor graduates increases year by year. The majors which female doctors study in cover all the subjects. Female doctors have become an indispensable part of the scientific research staff. Female doctors are playing a more and more important role in research. But female doctors are only a small group of people in the society, so few people know about the group. A lot of people are bias against female doctors. The most common one is that they call the female doctors as "the third kind of people".The female accept higher education because of their own reasons. One of them is their growing experience. The author takes family education, school education,, social environment and personality as clues and does deep interviews with the11female doctors through narrative research. The aim is to know more about their growing characters and to seek their growing regularities and common factors. Through the analysis of the interviews, the author finds that the different doctors share some common factors, such as they live in harmonious families, they accept comprehensive educations, they all meet their life mentors who give them generous helps in their life and study, and they all have positive attitudes and wide knowledge. These experiences may help women who have much potential and become senior talents through hard work. The research also offers some useful lessons to Chinese parents and teachers about female education.
