Shi Tiesheng was a Chinese writer of individuality. He suffered from paralysis when he was 21 years old. His mother who had dedicated her whole life to help her son to be independent and happier died at young age before she could witness her son’s success in writing; the tough life experience was a source of writing motivation for Shi Tiesheng. With time flew by, Shi Tiesheng was become more and more profound and reserved, so that his works were filled with the sense of weathered aura and unique philosophy of life and death. Embalming mother was a permanent topic of Shi Tiesheng’s work, such as The memory in autumn, Ditan and me, and Albizzia. While there are research reviews of The memory in autumn, and Ditan and me, there is no review of Albizzia. Since Albizzia is in Chinese textbook nationwide, many teachers analyze and teach students that Albizzia is an article in praise of the love of mother, however, this could lead students ignore the real meaning of the article. Though some teachers figure out the oblivious and implicit emotion of the writer, their analysis is somehow incorrect. I will point out these issues one by one in this article. The first chapter is review of Albizzia. I have collected and read fourty papers about Albizzia. I classify all statements in these papers into four category: the keynote of the article, the symbol meaning of albizzia, the reason why albizia appears so late in the article and the analysis of Shi Tiesheng’s philosophy of life and death. The second chapter is about instrction of Albizzia nationwide. The third chapter is about my personal analysis and instrctional advice of Albizzia. The fourth chapter is about mu advice for teaching based on the analysis of other teachers’ experience.
