The practice of new concept of education in the chemistry curriculum is inseparable from the chemical experiment teaching. The experiment is the base of chemical, so the role of chemical experiment in chemistry curriculum is irreplaceable. In this thesis, the current status of experiment teaching of Shaanxi province in ordinary high school was investigated through the form of questionnaire, the following several aspects is mainly investigated, for example, student’s attitude to chemistry experiment, the meaning of learning chemical experiment, the habit to doing chemical experiments, the way of learning chemistry experiment, the program of chemical experiment, facilities of school laboratory.Although the chemistry experiment teaching of ordinary high school has changed a lot under the background of new curriculum reform, there are a series of questions of chemistry experiment teaching in ordinary high school through the investigation and analysis. First, the school leaders have insufficient recognition of chemical experiment teaching. Laboratory resource is in short supply, experiment class is less, experimental teachers are weak, experimental examination arrangement is not reasonable. Second, the education idea of some teachers are backward and teachers’ thoughts are still under the exam-oriented education idea. Understanding of experimental teaching does not reach the designated position, the experimental teaching way is single. Third, the evaluation system of chemistry experiment teaching is simple. The assessment of teacher to student experiments ignore students’ operational capacity through paper and pencil tests, the experimental assessment approach of school is also simple, which can not evaluate substantively experimental teaching ability of teachers, the single assessment of education department to school experiment teaching is not able to really understand the current situation of experiment teaching.Aiming at the existing problem of chemistry experiment teaching in ordinary high school, the corresponding solutions are proposed in the thesis. First, the school should give enough attention of chemistry experiment teaching to improve the condition of laboratory. The school should strengthen construction of the experiment, strengthen teacher training, arrange reasonable experiment class, open laboratory and encourage teachers participate in the competition. Second, teachers should change teaching idea. Teachers grasp the accurate teaching objectives, improve teaching ability and adapt the experiment content reasonably to make the experiment into daily life and greening. Third, schools should improve the evaluation system of chemical experimental teaching. The school should supervise teachers strictly and the assessment way of experiment teaching is strict, teachers should use the combination of multiple evaluation methods to evaluate of student experiment which have evaluation of teacher, self-evaluation of students and mutual evaluation of students.
