| This research combines the new curriculum reform with the curriculumstandards, according to the fact of local middle school which is in poor frontierregions. The Class77and the Class79of Yiliang County No.2high school werechosen as the studying object randomly, and compared with Class65. Exploring howto actualize the new chemistry curriculum of high school in middle school andimprove the change of teaching method from theory and practice, which in order toimprove chemistry teaching quality and efficiency.The result shows that, at the beginning of the first term, the standard of threeclasses are almost same, even the Class65is better than others. For students of Class65, the teacher is the key in the teaching process. But the average score is only46.92;and they hated studying chemistry, most of them were sleeping in chemical class.However, for students of Class77and Class79, inquiry teaching is the main teachingmodel. The students like studying by themselves, they like thinking and exchangingtheir opinion with teacher also. As a result, the average score is56.44, compared withthe former group, which increased by9.52, and the students study chemistry moreactively, and more lively in chemical class; they are very interested in chemistry. In aword, the inquiry teaching can change the learning style of students, it can enhancethe score of chemistry, it can cultivate students’ scientific literacy, and it can enhancethe ability of students, and promote them sustainable development also. |
