| The PE of Vocation Colleges is the last learning stage of the systematicaleducation received by the college students. Being an important part of PE, it isregarded as the key point of connecting the national fitness with life-long sports. With the development of education and teaching reform, VCs (Vocation Colleges)are widely recognized by the whole society with its own unique professionalcurriculums as well as its ever increasing enrollment scale. This paper appliesLiterature Method, Expert Interview, Experimentation Method, QuestionnaireSurvey Method, Data Statistics and Method of Analysis and Induction to study thecurriculum design and experimental teaching of Ultimate Frisbee Sports.Aiming at the promotion and popularization of lunching the Ultimate FrisbeeSports in YNAVC (Yunnan Vocational and Technical College of Agriculture), theauthor analyzed and discussed the teaching experiments in the Frisbee courses withthe purpose of providing the basis for the curriculum of Ultimate Frisbee Sports bothin theory and in practice. In the experiment, the author mainly compares the past andpresent condition of the students’ interests in PE, body function and physical fitness.Through the study of teaching experiments, the author draws the followingconclusions.Firstly, according to the investigation, the teaching contents of PE in YunnanHigher Vocational Colleges are mainly composed of basketball, athletics andvolleyball, in which basketball accounts for100%, athletics96.77%, volleyball93.55%. It is clear that there are only a few newly developed PE programs, whichmakes it difficult to cater for the need of students’ interests in PE. At the same time, the limit of sports venues and equipment has a bad effect on the normal PEprograms.Secondly, according to the survey, nearly97.23%of the students admit thatthey like Frisbee Sports, they believe that this course can not only arouse theirinterests in sports study but also make their extracurricular life more colorful. Therefore, they are willing to improve their skills by joining in various competitions.Thirdly, with the accomplishment of the experiments, we can see that thereare evident differences in each dimension and general level between theexperiments-attending class(both boys and girls) and comparation-used class(both boys and girls) with the former’s P<0.05and the later’s P>0.05. The data clearlyclaimed that the Ultimate Frisbee can cater for students’ interest in PE, recall theirstronger desire and passion for sports. Its effect is much better than common sportsevents. Considering that the Ultimate Frisbee Sports can arouse students’ interestsand passion for sports, strengthen their study motivation, improve their attendance ofPE classes willingly and their positive attitude as well, it can make great contributionto fostering the students’ life-long sports consciousness and the habits of physicalexercise.Fourthly, as far as the lung capacity is concerned, the experiments-attendingclass has a remarkable difference with the P<0.05, while the comparation-used classhas no evident variety with the P>0.05. The behavior of the male students in the1000-meter race is remarkably different (with the P<0.01); in the800-meter race forthe female students, the experiments-attending class has a remarkable differencewith P<0.01and there are also no obvious difference for the comparation-used boys(P>0.05); The data showed that Ultimate Frisbee Sports can enhance students’ lungventilation function and has a remarkable effect on the improvement of the students’endurance.Fifthly, carrying out the program of Ultimate Frisbee Sports in HigherVocational Colleges can help us make good use of the teaching resources both insideand outside of colleges, relieve the contradiction of lacking sports venues andequipment resulted from the increasing enrollment of the students, lengthen theteaching time and broaden the teaching space, thus, to promote the diversifieddevelopment of the curriculum reform of PE in VCs. |
