A Study On The Inheritance Of Yi Traditional Culture In Primary Education In Chuxiong Prefecture

Traditional ethnic culture is the feature of a nation, and it is the major pillar ofnational spirit. The disappearance of traditional ethnic culture means thedisappearance of a minority. However, with the influence of modern culture, foreignculture and market economy, a great deal of good traditional ethnic culture is dyingout, and the hiatus phenomenon of inheritance is increasingly serious among youngpeople. School education is mainly responsible for the inheritance and innovation ofethnic culture. Primary school is an important stage during one’s lifetime. Howschools should inherit ethnic traditional culture has been an urgent problem.The research regards Experimental Primary School in Open Economic Zone ofChuxiong as a case study. On the basis of literature and references, the study adoptsquestionnaire and interview to deeply explore the current situation and achievementsof the inheritance of traditional Yi culture and to find shortcomings, and finds goodsolutions to better inherit traditional Yi culture in primary education.Through the analysis and consideration of the case study of ExperimentalPrimary School, the writer further enlarges the field of thinking to propose goodsuggestion for the inheritance of traditional Yi culture in ChuXiong primary education.The school takes certain measures to inherit traditional Yi culture: improve theorganization construction and assessment system of the inheritance of traditional Yiculture; strengthen the training for teachers; open up the course to inherit traditionalYi culture; contract campus culture with the characteristic of rational Yi culture;organize various activities on traditional Yi culture; strengthen the cooperation amongschool, society and family. Meanwhile, the government should also take some actionsto promote the inheritance of Yi culture: enlarge the support for the inheritance oftraditional Yi culture; set up better policies to support tradition Yi culture inheritance;the Department in charge education should establish good evaluation system; speedup the construction of normalization of traditional Yi culture; insist on bilingualeducation. Through the above analysis and consideration, the writer wishes the research speeds up the process of traditional Yi culture inheritance and preservation,and has theoretical meaning and practical value for the inheritance and preservationof other traditional ethnic culture in China.
