The new curriculum reform advocates self-led learning, cooperative learning, inquiry-based learning, and this proposition enjoys popular support by people. Now the most imperative issue is how to change education concept, reform training mode and improve teaching methods. Self-led learning theory, as the develop of cognitive learning theory, it interprets education and teaching in a brand new way, and provides a new perspective to our understanding of education. Regarding self-led learning theory, the meaning of teaching is that students proactively process knowledge by activities and communication to achieve meaning construction under the circumstance where teachers set the scene.On the basis of domestic and foreign contemporary self-led learning theory, the topic deeply researches connotation of self-led learning and physics teaching aiming to improve student’s self-led learning ability; combined with Chinese education background, researches on self-led learning teaching mode are aimed at enabling students to self-led learn, and having the ability to learn lifelong. As physics is an experimental subject, experimental teaching becomes an integral part of self-led learning teaching mode. By designing physics demonstration experiments suitable for self-led learning teaching mode, the teacher not only wants to improve student’s self-led learning ability but also wants to explore the application of physics demonstration experiments in self-led learning teaching mode under new curriculum standard.The thesis is divided into five parts:Part Ⅰ:Introduction. Make an introduction of the research background, domestic and foreign research status and content, purpose, meaning and methods of the research are also stated in this part of the thesis.Part Ⅱ:Theoretical statement. Make a summarization of domestic and foreign teaching methods and theories.Part Ⅲ:Describe the function of high school physics experiments under self-led learning teaching mode, based on which, the author also explores its application. The conclusion is that reasonable application of demonstration experiments will further develop and promote student’s self-learning ability under self-led learning teaching mode. And combined with teaching practice, the author analyzes the shortcomings of high school physics teaching under self-led learning teaching mode. On this basis, combined with the requirements of self-led learning theory and experiment teaching under the new curriculum standard, the author designs some related demonstration experiments suitable for self-led learning teaching mode.Part IV:Practical examples. Provide research for exploring the subject and relevant practical examples.Part V:Summary and Reflection. Mainly state some thoughts and expectations in the process of author’s research..
