"Chemistry is an experiment-based discipline." Demonstration experiment in high school chemistry is an important part of high school chemistry teaching,and it is also an important method and approach for students to acquire chemical knowledge.The use of experimental teaching method in chemistry classroom teaching can fully stimulate students’ interest in learning chemical knowledge,help students deepen the understanding of abstract chemistry concept and cultivate students’ chemistry thinking ability.When experimental teaching methods are used in chemistry classes to impart knowledge,the experiments demonstrated in the classroom are mainly demonstration experiments that are matched with knowledge in textbooks.Although from the view of the teaching material design concept,demonstration experiments in textbooks can display relevant knowledge points in an experimental form.Demonstration experiments in textbooks play an important role in teaching chemistry-related concepts,principles,and physical and chemical properties of substances.Chemistry experiment teaching is one of the most commonly used teaching methods.In the People’s Education Press‘s textbooks for senior high school students including compulsory and optional totally four textbooks,and many of the theories and properties must be verified by experiments.In the new teaching in chemistry class,whether the teacher conducts the demonstration experiment or the student group demonstrates experiment,it is necessary to consider whether the phenomenon of the experiment is outstanding,whether it can reflect the nature of the substance to the greatest extent,the safety of the experiment and the class time spent in the experiment.The object of this article is the high school chemistry demonstration experiment of the People’s Education Press and the article is to achieve the best experimental results,improve the demonstration experiment of the textbook so that the experiment can achieve the best effect in class.Through the review of relevant documents and some own practice,the article is aimed at improving and innovating the chemistry class demonstration experiment and then achieving better teaching results without changing the curriculum standards.This article is divided into six parts: the first part expounds the research status of chemistry experiment teaching;the second part is about the theoretical description of experimental improvement;the third part is based on the classroom demonstration experiment,some high school students are surveyed and part of high school chemistry teachers are interviewed and then is the analysis of the results of the survey;the fourth part analyzes the experimental questions involved in the National Examination Paper for National Entrance Examination [1],analyzes the experimental test questions of the college entrance examination as an examination of students’ experimental ability,and provides guidance for the improvement of demonstration experiments;the fifth part is to review the materials and combine the teaching experience of famous teachers to improve several important experiments in high school textbooks;the sixth part is the summary of this thesis.The purpose of this thesis is to put forward relevant suggestions on how to improve and innovate the classroom demonstration experiment by researching and analyzing high school chemistry experiment teaching methods.It is hoped that this can provide a reference for the chemistry teachers who are in the teaching frontline.
