With the arrival of the age of pictures, The illustration is becoming more and more obvious in Chinese curriculum.In recent years, a set of Chinese textbook--enlightened Mandarin textbooks written in the period of the Republic of China has became fashionable and popular. Therefore,the author analyzes enlightened Mandarin textbooks and Sue primary Chinese textbooks with different methods,such as literature analysis, statistical analysis and comparison research method. Based on the illustration of two version of the characteristics of the analysis and comparison,and the current situation of using illustrations of investigation, the author comes up with suggestions for optimizing the textbook illustrations.The author strives to achieve full observation,description, Interpretation. The main part is about four chapters:The first part:describes the classification of Chinese textbook illustrations and summarizes the illustrations of the three functions-teaching, language training, aesthetic education function with methods of literature analysis.The second part:this part mainly introduces the basic situation of two versions of textbooks, including the introduction of the basic situation,distribution,type proportion and characteristics with the application of statistical analysis method.The third part:the comparison of the similarities and differences between the comparative method, case analysis method and the enlightened Mandarin textbooks for Jiangsu edition primary school Chinese textbook illustrations, two sets of textbook illustrations have four similarities:the visual aesthetic,layout science, highlight the characteristics of ages,"four small" content,children perspective.Meanwhile,there are some differences, one is the difference of two sets of teaching materials in the form of color configuration, length, illustrations,other difference is the contents of illustrations, gender and cultural bias.The fourth part:through the questionnaire survey method, the author find the current textbook illustrations problems:the utilization rate is not high, the illustration has not received enough attention, existing problems and illustrations from the illustration design, so the author put forward suggestions for optimizing the textbook through compilation and teaching aspects.
