Curriculum resource is an important topic in the curriculum reform of basic education in2001. Actively developing and reasonable using the resources inside and outside of the campus will help promote changes in teaching methods, optimize the curriculum content and then successfully achieve the desired objectives of the curriculum reform. Current affairs, as an important course resource, are widely utilized in ideological and political course because it conforms to time; reflect the social developing direction and its comprehensiveness. Development and utilization of current political have a significant impact on the structuring and imptementation of the ideological and political course. Under this background, in order to utilize the resource of current affairs reasonable and reflect its characteristic, we need to further confirm the connotation and characteristic of current affairs, propose the strategies and methods presented in using current affairs. It is also very meaningful to stimulate students’interests in learning, change the way of students’ learning, promote teachers’ growth and improve the effectiveness of the curriculum reform.This thesis analyzes the connotation and characteristic of current affairs, generalizes its specifications based on the definition and clarity of current affairs’ connotation. Combining the curriculum objectives of ideological and political course, we investigate the specific value of current affairs based on the property and task of ideological and political course. In the end, we propose the macro-and micro-mechanisms as the realization mechanism to realize the value of current affairs in ideological and political courses. This thesis focuses on investigating the value of current affairs in ideological and political courses. It helps us understand the reason why current affairs are heavily used in ideological and political courses. Then we analyze the characteristic of current affairs and proposed the methods to realize this value and try to put forward strategies and measures to help achieve the current affairs value by combining teaching cases. Finally, we hope to further enrich the existing theoretical research results from the practice of frontline teachers and better take advantage of the current affairs resources to carry out suggestions on teaching and learning.
