Mathematics inquiry learning is refers to the teachers selected contact social life to explore the theme, creating the atmosphere of academic discussion in the classroom, the students’ participation in the analysis of problems, discussion, hands-on practice, reasoning and validation, generalizations process, mastering new knowledge, improve the ability of mathematical thinking, sets up the science inquiry attitude, strengthen innovation ability. Function is the foundation of modern mathematics, it is the most important in middle school mathematics, which is the most complicated concepts. In elementary education reform, the function of inquiry teaching research and practice to become one of the important problems in the mathematics teachers and researchers.Based on the theory of constructivism learning theory, metacognitive learning theory and re-invention, etc., using literature research, action research method, interview method, investigation research method, study how the inquiry teaching is carried out in the function of junior high school classroom teaching activities, analyzes the implementation secondary function of inquiry teaching effect, improve the subject of maths teaching strategy of inquiry teaching effectiveness.The experimental results show that the secondary function implementation of inquiry-based teaching effect is remarkable:the experimental class student’s result is improved obviously; Experimental classes of students in the classroom participation, speaks enthusiastically, thinking, learning, the increasing degree of concentration, grade is superior to conventional teaching classes; Compared the experimental classes and regular classes, students find problems, the ability to analyze and solve problems, mathematical knowledge is applied in the actual social life consciousness is strong; Exploratory teaching pattern to promote the student team consciousness and communication ability, promote the depth and breadth of communication between teachers and students.mathematics teachers do not deliberately seek to explore the\"form\", to explore and to explore the theory of to improve their accomplishment, grasp the connotation of inquiry teaching, grasp the effective teaching strategy, to carry on the reasonable teaching design; In the teaching should be according to their aptitude, reasonable moderate guide to explore in-depth, more should attach great importance to the subject status of students, let students really become the master of the classroom; Junior high school function implementation of inquiry teaching should be combined with students’ original knowledge level and ability, do it step by step, the penetration of the practice teaching in the classroom, is conducive to cultivating students’ inquiry ability and innovation spirit.
