The gymnastics projects must be learned which is classified asprimary and secondary school physical education and health course in the"compulsory education sports and health course standard" which has promulgated in2011, it has the particular requirements on the different target systems of gymnasticsteaching, this fully affirms the value of gymnastics project in the PE of primary andsecondary school. It is of great importance that how to change the traditional idea ofgymnastics projects, improve teacher’s teaching enthusiasm, recognize the currentsituation of primary and secondary school gymnastics teaching and put forward thepointed measures.This research uses the literature material method, questionnairesurvey method, mathematical statistics research method, such as in Zhuzhou cityelementary school gymnastics project development as the research object, theZhuzhou city four areas a random sample of24primary school physical educationteachers, has carried on the questionnaire survey and analysis.It includes basicsituation investigation, the cognitive situation of Compulsory education sports andhealth course standard, the establishment of gymnastics project, gymnastics projectteaching method, the location equipment, influence factors and so on.1. Primary schools in main cities of Zhuzhou are implementing or are preparing toimplement Obligation and curriculum standard of sports health education.2. Basic gymnastic, aerobics, dance are well carried out among Primary schools inmain cities of Zhuzhou. But the implementation of athletics gymnastics is notpoor.3. The teaching materials are diversified.4. These primary schools are well-equipped with a group of excellent teaching staff,but poor in specialized gymnastic teachers.5. These schools have good understanding on the Compulsory Obligation andcurriculum standard of sports health education. But they also show theirsubjective opinion on The Recognition of Gymnastic Project Teaching Target.6. The sports fields and equipment in these primary schools fail to meet therequirement of the teaching need. In addition, there is big difference amongschools.7. The main factors affect the implementation of gymnastic project in these primary schools of the urban area are: safety; The relationship between the gymnastic andthe entrance examination; the influence of field cost and gymnastic equipment;The teaching skills of the specialized physical teaching staff. In addition, theattention from school and interest of students also influence the implementation ofthe gymnastic project.According to the survey, and combined with the suggestions of the relevantexperts put forward, some countermeasures have been put forward which aimed atthe questions existed in the process of the primary school gymnastics class project inmain urban area of Zhuzhou city:1）perfecting the primary school gymnastics classproject;2） increasing the capital investment, expanding and maintaining theequipment of the gymnastics class project, developing and making full use of theresource of the athletic facility in the school;3） paying attention to the improvementof the teachers’ quality, strengthening teachers’ training;4）paying attention to someextra-curricular activities and competitions of the gymnastics class project,5）enhangcing the Physical Education professional gymnastics class project specialstudents teaching ability in PE Institutes and Departments;6） enhancing thedevelopment of school-based teaching textbook of gymnastics class project ofZhuzhou.
