| Mental health problems of middle school students is always the concern of thecommunity.The middle school stage is the transition period from naive to mature.Because oftheir physical and mental development is not mature, they are easy to be affected by variousfactors which lead to mental health problems.At the same time,the middle school stage is theperiod of rapid development of self consciousness.Correct self understanding, is of greatsignificance to the growth and mental health of middle school students.In the past,there havebeen many studies on self consciousness of middle school students.But most of the studies areabout the characteristics and influence factors of self consciousness.There are also some studiesare on the correlation between self consciousness and other mental factors.Not many studies onhow to cultivate self consciousness of students.And,did not put forward a lot of practical trainingmeasures.Few of the group psychological counseling was introduced into the research on selfconsciousness.Therefore,it has much value to introduce the group psychological counseling intothe study on students’ self consciousness.This study uses the pretest-posttest experimental design, using both experimental group andcontrol group. Before group counseling,the experimental group and control group do thepretest.Then the experimental group carries on the counseling intervention, while the controlgroup without intervention. After the experimental intervention, the experimental group and thecontrol group do the the posttest at the same time.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:1ã€Group counseling program is effective and feasible,and it can be applied to the the mentalhealth education of middle school students.2ã€Group counseling has great effect in improving the development of students’ selfconsciousness.And,group counseling can improve the mental health of middle school students.3ã€The development of self consciousness of high school students is not optimistic.Moreattention needs to be paid to the development of self consciousness of high school students. |
