| Along with the rapid development of higher vocational colleges, the social community’sdemands for higher vocational colleges to culture high-quality professional and technicalpersonnel become higher and higher. How to provide better service for the society has becomeexperts’ hot and wholly new topic in their research. How to promote higher vocational colleges’gorgeous transformation from germ to fruits needs to be researched now.With regard to higher vocational colleges’ social serving ability, we should investigate itsdeeper meaning; instead of simply see it as providing high skilled talents for society. We thoughthigher vocational colleges’ social serving ability refers to the personnel training, scientificresearch tasks. Besides these, in a variety of educational activities and process using their ownresources actively, consciously assume the responsibility of providing service in economictransformation and upgrading and building modern industrial system. Play an irreplaceable rolein promoting employment and improve people’s livelihood and building a moderately prosperoussociety in all respects. Then, how to promote higher vocational colleges’ social serving ability?This paper argues that, making a correct and reasonable evaluation is the effective measure topromote its leaps and bounds.Based on the theory of Wisconsin idea, Vocational education, Education evaluation andSystem theory, the paper makes an empirical analysis on <Higher vocational colleges’ personneltraining status data analysis report in2009>, which is made by higher education teachingevaluation center of the ministry of education. And author also collected scattered data from2010and2011. Through the analysis, we found that many problems need to be solved in theconstruction of social serving ability in higher vocational colleges, including the weak awarenessof social serving ability construction, the extremely imbalance degree of eastern and western’shigher vocational colleges’ social serving ability construction, the big gap between privatecolleges the public colleges in social serving ability and so on. To solve these problems, thispaper puts forward the solutions, including higher vocational colleges’ promoting their socialserving ability construction awareness actively, striving for strong supports from differentaspects, making counterpart supports between different higher vocational colleges, providingdirect service for society, and fighting for the relevant government departments’ guarantee, etc.Based on these researches, the paper puts forward a set of higher vocational colleges’ socialserving evaluation framework, constructed in several aspects from the evaluation subject,evaluation purpose, evaluation object, evaluation methods, evaluation index, evaluationstandards, and evaluation result respectively. |
