Effective lesson planning is the premise of effective teaching. And the collective lesson planning is one of the most important ways to achieve effective lesson planning. Therefore, the collective lesson planning is included in teaching regular management by most schools. The collective lesson planning has changed the solo way of working and also has strengthened the cooperative spirit between teachers. In addition, it has corrected rational understanding of the collective lesson planning after the study of the practical problems. This study provides some the school practitioners with better understanding and practicing of collective lesson planning.In this study, research and interviews were carried out empirically on140subjects who are Vice principals, headmaster and English teachers of Ganjingzi District in Dalian using the "Collective Lesson Planning Questionnaire for English Teachers in Primary Schools. Afterwards the statistical analysis of the results on the survey and interviews were carried out on mainly four aspects:ways of management, lesson planning contents, lesson planning effectiveness and as well as the teachers’cognition.The findings show that the collective lesson planning of English teachers in Primary Schools is carried out with specified contents and ways. And the teachers have highly cognition of lesson planning. But the process of lesson planning is lacking of specific guidance which lead the unobvious effectiveness of lesson planning. And, besides that the action lags far behind the understanding.The study implicates that lesson planning needs guidance from education administrative Bureau and the management need to be strengthened. In addition, the lesson planning contents and as well as the targets need to be well defined. And it also need perfect process and adopt strategy to highlight features and deepen the understanding and implementation of the action.
