| The school-based curriculum has been developing in our country. The high school in which I am teaching is also conducting the experiments on the school-based curriculum to develop the all-round ability of the students.The paper consists of four parts. Part 1: Theoretical research and definition. In this part the author theoretically analyzes the origin, development, characteristic of the school-based curriculum, and the recent development in this field at home and abroad. It also introduces the theory of the research and development of the school-based curriculum on universal ability in East China Model High School of Shanghai. Besides, the innovation and significance of chemistry curriculum on universal ability have been illustrated.Part 2 : Research methods, subjects of study and research procedure of the curriculum. In this part, the author analyzes the subjects: the students, the teachers and the teaching contents by using the methods such as the documentary method, the method of quantitative observation in class and the discussion method in order to make full preparations for the design and practice of"Chemistry School-based Curriculum on Universal Ability."Part 3: The design and practice of the Curriculum on Universal Ability. By choosing the East China Model High School as a carrier, part 3 lists the main cases of the curriculum, completes the designing, content-designating and summarizes the effect and comments on the"Chemistry School-based Curriculum on Universal Ability".Part 4: Conclusion and reflection. The research indicates that the students who learn from experience learn better. Especially in the field of"Planning and Arrangements"in the universal education, the students have made great progress. Certain progress has also been made in some other fields. Based on the result, we can predict that by attending several universal ability courses, the development of the students'universal ability will lay a solid foundation for their future life. |
