Criticism is an indispensable teaching method. Without criticism , education will not be integrated and normal. During the process of teaching practice,teacher'criticism power refers to the power to criticize students because of their inaccurate behaviors and it's also the teachers right on the basis of his/her professional identity which is corresponding with a responsibility. By excuting this power legitimately and making a negative evaluation on the inaccurate behaviors of the students,teachers can make them feel regretful for what they did to stimulate their bodies and minds ,therefore , prevent the same things to happen again efficiently . It is conducive to promote their somatopsychic development , ensure the development of well-organized teaching order,and motivate better development of educational enterprise.However,in the practice, we still meet so many problems. On the one hand, with the rising appeal of Childrens human rights and Education democratic, the students rights are emphasized; public opinions misguide; one-child families increase; many parents unilaterally abandon the"Criticism education", advocate and emphasize the"Appreciative Education"believing that only encouraging and praising can lead to good results . On the other hand, with the rapid development of market economy, the value orientation of elementary education is distorted , teachers'autonomous educational circumstance is losing gradually,their authority are challenged,so their status constantly downgrades. As a result, the above-mentioned force more and more teachers to give up their power and the execution of this power is in a serious situation .We have to ponder over why criticism power ,as one of the teachers powers , encounter such an awkward situation . To solve this issue, this thesis , based on the previous related researches, analyzes the current situation of the execution of this power , explores the difficulty and reasons of executing criticism power ,taking Shanghai elementary and secondary schools to be an example, using questionnaire ,interview to make an in-depth and extensive investigation, in order to propose some corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.
