Composition teaching has always been an important part of Chinese teaching, and plays a vital role in the whole system of Chinese teaching. The writing ability of students is a comprehensive reflection of language literacy and language ability. It is no doubt that the important composition teaching goal is to make every student have good expression ability so that they can express themselves effectively by language. The author attempts to propose ideas about the composition teaching focus on the form from the current reality of composition teaching in middle school on students'poor expression ability.Focus on the form of composition teaching, the goal is to improve the composition expression ability of students in middle school effectively. The idea of this composition teaching can be traced back to the thought that"learning Chinese should focus on the form"of Mr. Xia Mianzun. Composition contains two parts: the content and the form. The form of composition should not be regarded as a subsidiary of content, but ought to have its own location. It is a new idea of composition teaching to make good use of form. The composition teaching focus on the form takes a lot of advantages. It is clear, targeted, and very convenient for teachers to operate. It also can help teachers to overcome the shortcomings of composition teaching without plan, establish and optimize the teaching sequence to help students master regular method of composition, promote the development and improvement of expression ability effectively.The main part of this paper can be divided into five chapters.The first chapter is thinking about composition teaching from the reality. The author sums up the Conclusion that it is very important and urgent to improve the expression ability of middle school students from the position of the composition and the current reality of composition teaching in middle school.In the second chapter, the author put up the strategy to improve the expression ability of middle school students. In anthor's eyes, teachers can operate the composition teaching focus on the form. The author also explains the content, theorybasis, goal setting and so on about the composition teaching in detail.In the third, forth and fifth chapter, the author base on the current reality of composition teaching in middle school, according to the problems in the aspects of students'expression, propose three designs of composition teaching:"writing a word", essay writing and"translation", respectively for the language, style, and structure.In the conclusion, the author sums up and emphasize the key of the composition teaching focus on the form .The composition teaching focus on the form has its own unique value and advantage. The author attempts to discuss the composition teaching in middle school to expect students to master the method of composition, express themselves freely by language and improve the expression ability effectively.
