The fundamental task of Chinese language subject is to guide students understand the native language and use it correctly, developing the skills of hearing,speaking,reading and writing etc. Being the carrier of achieving the goals of language courses, the Chinese teaching material is not only the basis for classroom teaching but important teaching resources. By the comparison and research of different teaching materials ,we can grasp their features better, further improve the function of teaching material and promote its reform.Based on above, this thesis has chosen the Chinese language teaching material using in high school as study object, both the second edition published by the Peoples Education Publishing House revised in 2007 using in mainland and the one published by the Hanlin Publishing Co. Ltd. using in Taiwan after 2006. Expecting promoting the reform of the Chinese language teaching material compiling and advancing the exchange of both Taiwan strait, this thesis is trying to probe the advantages we can learn from the Taiwan Chinese language teaching material through various kinds of research methods such as comparison or analysis.Through the comparison of the Chinese language teaching material using in mainland and Taiwan, we can find out that there are many aspects they can reference from each other, such as the compiling style or text selecting system. After Curriculum Reform in mainland, it is to be a trend that Sinology become more and more important in junior and high school education during the repositioning of traditional culture. Sinology is not only inheriting the richness of outstanding national spirit but containing the brilliant essence of Chinese culture. For high school students, Sinology education can enlighten life, establish ideal, guide behavior, inspire wisdom, shape character, strengthen mind and body, improve growth. Thus the author propose the compiling concept of specialized Sinology Textbook, excepting to learn the advantages of Taiwan's Chinese teaching material to improve the existing ones in mainland and add special Sinology Textbook to it, trying to construct a diverse, open, developing scientifically way for Chinese language teaching materials compiling.In the exordium, the thesis interpreted the broad and narrow sense of Chinese language teaching materials and Sinology Textbook to define the core concept of this study, and illustrate that Chinese language teaching materials refered in thesis all specifical Chinese language textbooks. And then the recent research and literature about Chinese language textbooks has been arranged, analysis projects and research methods determined, all that is the basis of this study.From the second chapter, we can get overall view about Taiwan Chinese teaching material published by the Hanlin Publishing Co. Ltd through the introduction of High School Chinese, Basic textbook of Chinese Culture, Sinology Summary, Teachers Guide and the Basic Textbook of Sinology which is introduced from Taiwan. Among the textbooks, High School Chinese is similar in both mainland and Taiwan, but the rest is specific in Taiwan and such teaching materials focus on training students'ability of thinking and expression through the combination of traditional culture and modern social life.The third chapter introduced high school curriculum standard test textbook Chinese which is published by the Peoples Education Publishing House revised in 2007, with the presentation of Reading Appreciation, Expression Exchanging, Arrangment Exploring and Masterpiece guide reading. Above the basis of analysis from the comparison of compilation, text and task system, this study has proposed nine suggestions about what Chinese teaching material in mainland can learn from Taiwan, including"Multiple versioned textbooks are encouraged to compile for different schools to choose according to their characteristics","Avoid pursuing the literary feature of selected text excessively","Provide a large number of teaching materials for teacher","Design teaching materials putting focus on integrating and expansion","Enrich the reading material","Rich the form to make it more interesting","Text selecting is influenced by politics as little as possible","Unit setting can break the old style","Close to life and more open"etc.The fourth chapter discussed the significance of Sinology education , the status of Sinology education and Sinology textbook, conceiving the suggestion to implement Sinology education in high school and compile specialized Sinology textbook, and giving some advice.
