Present days, some herdsmen in Inner Mongolia give their right of using grassland to mining companies and move to cities themselves.The thesis is to describe the life of the herders who lost social capital because of mining industry, from view point of social capital, and to analyze influence of migration over herders lives, at the same time to share author's opinions of how should the herders gain back social capital and live new life.These constitutes by three main parts, namely, the introduction, the text and the conclusion.the introduction part summarize the reason and meaning for the research, and the present studies, methods and field work as well. As for the test part, mainly carries on a theoretical study of the family social capital from the tiny level,kin and neighborhood social capital in the medium level and community social capital at the macroscopic level of grassland. And in the second chapter, the paper is to analyze the influence of the herders who lost social capital because of mining industry. Then, in the third chapter, share author's opinions of how should the herders rebuild the new social capital and live new life. At the last, the conclusion part highlights the above arguments.
