The classroom is a core of the school education. Quantitative research applied to educational research on classroom observation could describe the class teaching conditions objectively and accurately. It applied to educational research on classroom observation has been the hot spot. Quantitative classroom observation is a research method by doing quantitative analysis of the key events in the class (such as teacher activities, student activities, teaching materials using level, etc.) and then gets the conclusions against subject curriculum and teaching goals set before class. It is significant to the classroom development. From 10 years of literature (1999-2009), we find that scholars have developed a lot of economic and effective measurement and data analysis tools, which provide a scientific research tools for classroom observation measurements. It is a guarantee of an objective conclusion and the key of the study that to understand the structure, features, and scope of the use and effectiveness of these tools, to select and design appropriate scales and to process the data scientifically. What's more, it is of great significance to the trend of educational practice from description toward prediction and controlment. This paper compiled the Science Class Interaction Analysis System on the basic of Flanders Interaction Analysis System, combining the new demands on the modern exploratory classroom teaching and the special characteristics of the sciences classroom. We use it to do the quantitative analysis of an open class. It gives us a more comprehensive conclusion than the qualitative analysis and provides a reference for the science classroom. It can improve classroom performance; provide strong support for the teaching quality.
