The competition of comprehensive national power is essentially the talent competition in the days that intellectual economy has started to take shape. As the necessary way of the human resources development, adult education has already transported a large number of highly qualified professionals to the society and has become an important force which drives economic development and social progress. However, the development of adult education in china is bumpy, and it is facing unprecedented credit crisis and existential crisis in recent years. How to get out of trouble and get rid of crisis, the key of adult education lies in its own transformations or reforms. Teaching is not only the main body part but also the center link of education. The key point of adult education to break through its bottleneck in the development and find a way out is to update the teaching ideas and deepen the teaching reforms, finally to constantly improve the teaching quality of adult education nowadays.Blended learning, the latest trend of the current international education development, is a learning idea and strategy which is gradually paid attention to the introspection of on-line learning and the return of the traditional classroom teaching. Blended teaching integrates the advantages of traditional classroom learning and on-line learning, and realizes the effective docking of the two different teaching ideas, teaching as the leading and learning for the subject, thus it is a new teaching mode fully exerting teachers' leading role and students' subjectivity. How to use blended teaching strategy to guide the teaching reforms and improve the teaching quality of adult education, which has been a hot-point in adult education field now.Blended teaching as the organic integration of traditional classroom teaching and on-line learning is a kind of strategy, which uses different learning theories and technological means as well as the different ways of application to practice teaching. Blended teaching not only can effectively reduce the cost of pure traditional teaching, but also can break through the limitations of simple on-line learning. It improves the teaching effect, and highlights the perfect combination of teachers and students, thus it realizes the innovations of traditional teaching and the transcendences of on-line learning. Blended learning emphasizes the use of different learning technologies on different occasions to achieve the best effect of learning. So this thesis tries to apply blended learning into adult education, and to discuss the transformations of adult education from blended learning's perspective so as to pursue the optimization of the teaching effect. On the basis of blended learning theory introduced in, the thesis is going to analyze the teaching problems which are urgently solved from the current situation of adult education. Then based on the reflection of them, the thesis tries to seek the best point about adult teaching and blended learning so as to discuss how to use blended learning to reform adult teaching, and to get the maximum value of adult teaching. Finally, the thesis plans to design blended adult teaching process, and explore its contents from blended learning in four aspects: leading-in courses, activity organizations, learning support and teaching evaluation. The goal is to promote blended adult teaching mode and get rid of the disadvantages as well as improve its teaching quality to realize a new breakthrough of adult education.
