Case method has been used in Harvard University in 1870, since the 1980s was introduced into china has been 30 years, case method with its unique mode of teaching of the people in a different field of teaching like being. Now,in basic education reform,The idea of new curriculum are change teaching method and Student-led learning.The promotion of case method plays a significant role in explaining the concept. The discipline of history is an important part of basic education,it has a strong humanity,and the development of student's personality been given much attention. At the same time,new curriculum reform proposes a new development direction to history teaching,and initates open history teaching.Case method is working with the objectives of the new period.It is a new Student-led teaching method. In order to improve student ability, to develop a healthy personality goals of education, school history class to actively introduce the case method.This article to discuss the case method in school history teaching.It is divides into three parts:theoretical bases, implementation methods,and problems and corresponding countermeasures.This research hopes to promote the further development of case method of history teaching.
