Function is the foundation of modern mathematics, and it is the most important and most complex mathematics concept in secondary school. With the process of curriculum reform at this stage, the function teaching has also been taking place a significant change, and its principal direction is toward a more scientific, more detailed development. Secondary school function teaching and research has become secondary school mathematics education experts and even the research focus. From a few middle schools of the actual teaching effectiveness point of view, students master the knowledge of the function of the situation is not optimistic of them from exposing the difficulties of learning, or neglect, or delay, forming "the half-comprehended "situation of understanding of the function. Similarly, in the teaching process, there are some difficulties, or skipping, or confusion, resulting in the phenomenon of ineffective teaching. So, at graduate level of education through practical experience of the precipitation, the author selected on the junior high school math teaching in the difficulties of analysis, using questionnaires and interviews to research and survey, results reflected by the status quo, with related construction of a number of specific operational theory of teaching strategies.Function of teaching is the main line of mathematics, junior secondary function is the basis for the further study of the compulsory content. Grasping the nature of the function concept is to learn function, quadratic function, inverse proportion function, and that only in practical applications to function more in-depth experience of thought what contains the corresponding relationship between the variables, through problem-solving to grasp the nature of the function.The research on teaching middle school math problems that exist in two secondary schools in Hangzhou conducted a survey, and were designed for students and teachers of different questionnaires. Zhejiang Province is using "Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standards Test textbook" published by Zhejiang Education Publishing House in 2006, and "Full-time compulsory education mathematics curriculum standards(trial version)"edited by Ministry of Education. Students of grade 9 have been selected for the survey of the function of knowledge, and some students were interviewed about the actual learning difficulties were encountered, and the attitude towards these problems, how to overcome difficulties and other issues. Before conducting surveys, at first by two high school math teachers to understand the function of teaching, and to issue the questionnaire for students who seek to modify the design suggestions. Then select grade 9 students of the two middle schools in the survey, and investigation of the math teachers of the classrooms, questionnaires and interviews to understand the function of specific teaching difficulties and build teaching strategies to overcome these difficulties and so on. Finally, finishing the questionnaire results, classification, induction, statistics, analysis reveals that students'learning difficulties about function, and analyze the learning difficulties caused by the reason; teachers towards the teaching function of view, and encountered in the teaching process response to the difficulties, and the situation on the level of understanding of student learning, as well as teachers in-depth interviews. Further according to the actual situation of teaching make some improvement measures. Finally, in order to achieve good effect of teaching, the function of teaching strategy of overcoming the difficulties that exist in the didactic process has been constructed, and make better instructional design.
