After-class exercise as one part of the Chinese textbook system is closely related with the content of the textbook. It helps the students understand the text deeply, masters the methods of Chinese reading, and then plays an important part on improving the Chinese accomplishment of students. It is an purposefully activity which arranges for students in percept, analysis,explore, deepen and act. This essay chooses the Compulsory Education Curriculum Standard Experimental Textbooks·Chinese (the seventh grade to the ninth grade) (hereinafter referred to as "people's education edition") and Beijing Compulsory Education Curriculum Reform of Experimental textbook·Chinese (the 13th volumes to the 18th volumes) (hereinafter referred to as "Beijing edition") as the research object. It makes a comparative research about the after-class exercise of middle school Chinese courses.After comparison of them we could know the common place of the new curriculum reform about Chinese textbook, find their writing characteristics about their after-class exercises and offer more scientific theories. The comparison can also help the teachers understand the textbook, and arrange their teaching reasonable, to show the important role of after-class exercises. This essay finds problems, solves problems and put forward the advice and suggestions for the two versions.This essay is divided into seven parts of the after-class exercises of the two versions of Chinese textbooks:The introduction introduces the whole essay's thesis, including:the significance, the research object, the research ideas, and the research methods, etc.Chapter One introduces the basic theory of after-school practice.Chapter Two introduces the development evolution of after-class exercises, from the history vertical point of view.Chapter Three sums the characters of the both version.Chapter Four is the main part of this essay, it compare the similarities and differences of the two version's after-class exercises. The similarities include the number of increase and decrease, the amount of form, the purpose of design, and whether it accords with "Curriculum Standard" requirements. The differences include:the quantity and quality. The essay will choose a same text from both two versions, and then make a conclusion: "Beijing edition" emphasize on the knowledge and inspiration, while "people's education edition" emphasize on the reason.Chapter Five offers the advice about the conclusion of the comparison. It emphasize the importance and relevance among the exercises, pays attention to the knowledge communication and the way of thinking, and requires expand training must accord with the objective reality and background, etc.Chapter Six makes a general summary about the whole essay.
