In recent years, with the popularity of networks, online games are increasing popular, as a result a large number of gaming software become popular. As a new representative of the development of technology and culture, online games have become a main forms of teenagers'entertainment, and it has a profound impact on young people's awareness, life and learning style. More and more educators began to focus on how to applay this kind of entertainment to teenagers'learning.With the deeping of the curriculum reform, we find that the traditional teaching methods are difficult to fundamentally improve the effectiveness of education and teaching, it can not fully reflect the new curriculum philosophy of education, either. Online educational games include features of free soul, and educational functions and learning mechanisms. All of these features provide a new way to achieve the educational philosophy. Online educational games inherit the traditional educational games'characteristics of educational features. Because of its stimulating motivation ,and promote subjectivity ,social, creative consciousness, cognitive ability ,the function of the development of information literacy, it is of great education meanings.This study begin with the analysis of the spirit of game. It is thought that the Game Spirit is consistent with the idea of the new curriculum, and online educational games play as a continuation and expansion of the spirit, which not only inherited the traditional spirit of the game, what's more, it has a greater function of education. And then in the study discuss the meaning of educational games and network games by comparison. It also carefully analyze the type of network games, characteristics and educational function. The theoretical basis of teaching, including the relevant game theory and learning theory are given by the research of the status quo at home and abroad.In order to make online educational games used for the network of information technology in middle school, it is needed to analyze the necessity and feasibility. Then, according to the existing teaching model ,combining the characteristics of its own , we give three application models which can make online educational games be applied in information technology: network inquiry teaching model, resource-based learning model and collaborative learning model. Finally, to investigate the effect of the application model, we take case studies to research. A first-year junior high school students of two classes in Shandong are selected. We use online educational game in the class of information technology. And in the classroom, the students were asked to answer some questions . All of the answers are selected to analyze the effect of the classroom. Proved from a practical level, that the application of online educational games are of practical level. And this form is useful to improve the enthusiasm of the students.The innovation of this study is that online educational games are used in practical teaching information technology subjects. After the class ,we selected the game data of students'paper. We found that the use of online educational games in information technology class can effectively improve the enthusiasm of students, and help to improve students'interest. The atmosphere of the classroom was very active. It can help to improve students'academic achievement. We hope that these findings can bring some of the general thinking and inspiration. And educators can take a rational attitude on online educational games. What's more , we hope that educators can explore the rule of online educational games and education. So that ,online educational game can bring us a new vitality on curriculum teaching, and bring new viewpoints to"how the games are used in teaching".
