Along with the popularization of personal computers and educational software in ordinary families, digital educational games have become an important part in our daily life, entertainment and even education. Nowadays, not only children are keen on various educational as well as pure computer games, but also a vast number of adults are addicted to them so deep as to "forsake food and sleep". Therefore, how to take full advantages of digital games in education, integrate educational games with learning organically and achieve the goal of learning in an entertaining way have became one of the hot issues in the research of educational technology.In this dissertation, on the basis of present research from domestic and abroad, the author, starting with the concept and process of development of the digital education game, adopts some research methods such as literature research, software programming, experimentation and simulation etc.to explore some research questions related to the digital education game by means of constructing game models and applying present technologies.The dissertation mainly consists of three parts: the concept and theoretical foundation of digital educational game; the model and framework of digital educational game; the design and technological implementation of digital educational game.The first part begins with the definition of the concept of digital educational game, then describes the process of evolution and the content of the concept, finally, from the perspective of multiple intelligence, this part analyses the promotion of digital educational game to the cultivation of students' learning abilities and the mutual interaction between them. This part provides a theoretical foundation of the whole dissertation.The second part presents the models and structural framework of digital educational games at different levels from the perspective of technology. This part mainly concerns the abstraction of the concept - digital educational games and the description of the relationship among its constituent elements.The third part probes into the methods of turning the concept of digital educational games into reality under the guidance of the above theories in current technological conditions. In this part, the author did a lot of experiments and simulations aiming to solve some existing problems, and in the end the author designed a simple example of the first shooting game based on the OpenGL technology.Finally, after providing a comprehensive analysis and summery of this study, the author offers some research questions to be solved in the future study and a farther tentative research plan.
